Counselling

Have you stopped to consider it? I believe everyone on Mother Earth could benefit from counselling and that includes me.

I have experienced counselling throughout many episodes of my life and found most sessions enriching.  Counsellors are as different as individuals in how they respond to clients and with the therapeutic theories in which they choose to work.

What to expect

What I can assure you is you will be welcomed into a warm, safe, and secure environment.  You will not be judged. You will be heard and you will decide upon personal goals for the top priorities in your life. You are the captain of your ship.  Sometimes we get off course and my privilege will be to help you uncover a new, better, or healthier pathway. You choose and we will explore, examine, and discover ways towards empowerment. You will be appropriately challenged from time to time.

If you are keen to seek a better or a different version of yourself or if fear is stopping you – you have landed in the right spot.  You will learn to manage your fears or smash them - the choice will be yours to make.

In my personal life I have known great loss, and I am alive to tell you – we can find a way through your grief… together.

Our work is confidential; however, I am bound by my governing body’s Code of Ethics through the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). We will review areas of confidentiality in the initial session.  If I ever feel you are a threat to yourself or others by risk of causing serious harm or if my records are subpoenaed through a court of law, I may be forced to break this confidentiality. If this possibility exists, I will endeavour to speak with you first.

If you are not happy with your present situation in life whether this is an intimate relationship, a current job, making serious decisions regarding your future, the condition of your mental and/or physical health (as they are intertwined), if you are being bullied, if you feel you are not meeting your potential – please do not hesitate to contact me.

Life is short and our minds are very powerful – we can train them to work ‘better’ for us. You can reach for the skies.

Accepting clients 18yo and above. Consider six (6) sessions as a good starting point.  Clients can be involved in consultations for a year or longer – attending fortnightly – however, this depends on the initial reason for seeking guidance and knowledge.
